I think every blogger out there has experienced writer’s block at some point. It’s frustrating and disheartening, especially if you have a deadline or a schedule to stick to. Below are some ideas of what gives me inspiration to blog which you could find useful too:
Pick up some magazines relevant to your interests or even take a look at popular articles online to see what is going on in the world. Every month there are new trends and products being spoken about so there is always plenty to respond to. I like response blog posts as it gives you a chance to say your piece on a topic and it can often start a conversation. Examples of my response blog posts include an article in Women’s Health Magazine and a blog post written by Sarah Ashcroft.
Review a product
Have you bought a product that you like or even dislike? Why not write a review post about it. These can be helpful for others considering purchasing the same product and if you tag the brand on social media there is a chance they will have a read and respond to you which is a good way to start building a relationship with them.
Read other blogs
Reading other blogs can spark ideas and inspiration, however be careful not to directly copy a post as this would not go down well within the community. Also don’t be anxious to write about the same subject as someone but with a completely different opinion – that is what makes the world so interesting, if we all had the same opinions the world would not be very interesting.
Write about life experiences
If you don’t mind getting a little more personal, why not write about events that have happened in your life to give advice or let people know they aren’t alone. My experience posts are my most popular and I think that’s because readers can directly relate to you.
Write about your skills
Everyone out there is good at something, so why not write about your skills? You could make a blog series giving advice to your readers or write how-to posts, sharing is caring after all!
