Chocolate & Peanut Butter Protein Cups Recipe

Who loves peanut butter? Who loves chocolate?

Most people? I thought so.

I have been experimenting with adding protein to different recipes like my chocolate chip cookies, and I was determined to make a recipe that wasn’t a bar or cookie. Reese’s has been everywhere recently and I wanted to create my own version.

If you are after a tasty high protein treat which you don;t need to bake, why not try this. It is pretty indulgent too as I made a thick chocolatey layer, but you can of course make them as thick or think as you wish.

INGREDIENTS

  • 30g coconut oil
  • 30g peanut butter (plus extra for topping, optional)
  • 2 tablespoons cacoa powder
  • 30g chocolate whey protein (I used Multipower’s rich chocolate flavour whey protein)

METHOD

Melt the coconut oil and peanut butter on a low heat to create a runny mixture.

Stir in the cacao powder and whey protein.

Pour into a greased muffin tin and freeze in the freezer until hard.

When hard, smother on more peanut butter like I did!

Let me know if you try these out! A super quick and easy recipe for chocolate and peanut butter lovers.

Hi! Is it possible to substitute any other kind of protein powder in exchange for the whey? Thank you!

      Hello!

I haven’t tried it so I can’t give you a tried and tested answer, however because the mixture isn’t being baked I feel it should be completely fine!
